Making a gift of securities is simple and offers a number of valuable financial benefits:

• The total value of the stock upon transfer is tax-deductible
• There is no obligation to pay any capital gains taxes on the appreciation
• You may be able to receive additional Enterprise Zone tax credits
• You can donate appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds

STEP 1 - TRANSFER STOCK

BY ELECTRONIC TRANSFER

Provide your broker or financial adviser with the following information:

• Account Number: 293-25912-13-571
• DTC # 0418
• Tax ID #84-6038762

Make sure that your name, address, and account number are included in the transaction to Salomon Smith Barney. If your institution requires a letter of authorization, please click here to view a sample.

BY MAIL (STOCKS IN YOUR PERSONAL POSSESSION)

Mail the following by tracked or registered mail system (e.g. FEDEX, Registered Mail) to:

STEP 2 - NOTIFY DENVER RESCUE MISSION

To insure proper crediting of your stock donation,  please have your broker or yourself contact the Denver Rescue Mission's Chris Darr  at 303.297.1815 to notify us that the transfer is underway. You can also click here to use our online form.

Be prepared to provide the following information:

• Date of stock transfer
• Number of shares
• Name of stock
• Correct spelling of your name
• Your complete mailing address
• EZ tax credit intentions (If applicable)
