Emergency Services

We meet people experiencing poverty and homelessness at their physical points of need by providing food, shelter, clothing, household items, and basic clinic services. These emergency services provide for the immediate needs of families and individuals, giving them the opportunity to also learn how they can make a lasting life change through our long-term programs.


If you or your loved ones are in immediate need of food, you are welcome to dine at our Lawrence Street Community Center, open every day of the year. The center serves three meals daily:




5:30 A.M.

12 P.M.

6:00 P.M.

If you and your family are in housing but cannot afford food at this time, the Mission’s Client Services can provide you with necessary items once a month including perishable and non-perishable food items. Harvest Farm offers food boxes for people in need.

  • Proof of dependency for children (for single parents)


For Men

For Women and Children

Men experiencing homelessness who want to escape the dangers of sleeping on the street are welcome at our Lawrence Street Shelter. The shelter is open 365 days a year and can accommodate up to 315 men each night.

If you are a woman experiencing homelessness and are seeking immediate shelter for you and your children, please call 303.297.1815 to be referred to an appropriate shelter.


If you or your loved ones need clothing, we invite you to visit Client Services at our Ministry Outreach Center.

If you are homeless, a first-time client or have a voucher, you may receive clothing free of charge.

If you do not fall under one of these categories, you will be charged $3.00 for six pounds of clothing, and $1.00 for every additional pound.

All clients wishing to receive clothing must show a valid ID.

  • 8:30 - 11:30 A.M. Weekdays only
  • 9:45 to 11:45 A.M. Monday -  Friday
  • 1:00 to 3:45 P.M. Monday - Friday
  • 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. Saturday

Furniture/Household Items

If you and your loved ones are in need of furniture and other household items such as blankets, pillows, towels, and sheets, please contact our Ministry Outreach Center Client Services location for assistance.

Furniture may be received free of charge by appointment only, and you must have a referral from a Social Services agency, church leader or other community representative . At your appointment, you will be given 20 minutes to choose the furniture and items you need.

Please be aware that each family may receive furniture only once a year, and the Mission’s Client Services will not provide you with transportation or delivery.

Furniture is distributed at the Ministry Outreach Center, by appointment only, from 8:30 to 11:30 A.M. Monday through Friday.

If you or your loved ones are in immediate need of general medical assistance, please call 303.294.0157 or visit our clinic, located inside our Lawrence Street Shelter.

Please be advised that we only offer the following acute medical care:

  • Medical - Free acute medical care is weekdays only from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. and 2:30 to 4 P.M.
  • Optical - The optical clinic provides free eye exams, frames and lenses to program participants and free eyeglass frames to the public. Outside patients with a current prescription pay a nominal fee for both single lens glasses and bifocals.
  • Dental - General dental repair is limited to New Life Program participants only. Free dental extractions are open to the public twice a month. For dental services involving lab fees, the Mission seeks individual grants for patients that qualify.
  • Chiropractic - General chiropractic services are offered throughout the week.
  • Referrals - Clients may receive referrals to other agencies for care.
