Denver Rescue Mission - - Accounting Clerk

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk interacts with the organization Directors and other key Mission staff. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the tracking, coordination, and recording of Gifts-in-Kind donations, distributions, and inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business related endeavor preferred, and/or equivalent experience required.
• Basic accounting skills required.
• Ability to be organized and set daily priorities.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work respectfully and professionally with staff, clients and vendors.
• Strong computer skills with experience entering data into a database.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented.

NOTE: A limited amount of work-related travel may be required occasionally.

Denver Rescue Mission - LSCC - Chef

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Cook. The Cook is responsible for all LSCC kitchen operations, activities and volunteer services. Each shift will be staffed with a Cook who will focus on food production, and a Cook who will focus on the volunteer experience through engagement and mobilization. During the course of a shift, all cooks will work as a team and lend assistance to one another as needed. All cooks will be required to fulfill the respective areas of focus based upon the needs of each shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous cooking and commercial kitchen experience with knowledge of food industry procedures and sanitation codes required.
• Experience in batch cooking.
• Strong Christian ethic with ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, and religious backgrounds.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Fort Collins Rescue Mission - - Chef

Ft. Collins Rescue Mission is seeking a Chef. The Chef is responsible for all FCRM facility kitchen operations and activities. This includes the overall operation of the kitchen and cafeteria and specifically involves inventory management, kitchen staff management, meal service preparation, health code standards, cleanliness, staff and menu schedules and special events.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge in food industry procedures and sanitation codes.
• Able to keep a good attitude under potential stress.
• Able to cook nutritious and tasty food.
• Ability to cook in large quantities.
• Ability to positively work with, manage and train rotating kitchen helpers.
• A heart and desire to serve the needy in a Christian environment.
• Willingness to help fill in shifts if another kitchen staff may not be able to.
• Valid Driver’s License with insurability, preferred.
• Complete and maintain ServSafe Certification within 90 days of employment. (Training Provided by Fort Collins Rescue Mission)
• Schedule Wednesday – Sunday 10:30am to 7:00pm (Days off Monday & Tuesday).

4. Ability to hold appropriate and Biblical boundaries and accountability with those we serve.
5. Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
6. Strong Christian ethic with ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, and religious backgrounds.
7. Current hours are 3 12 hours from 6:00pm to 6:am & 1 6 hour shift either 6:00pm to 12:00am or 12:00am to 6:00am
8. Ability to read, remember and follow precise policies and procedures.
9. Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.

Denver Rescue Mission - - Philanthropy Officer

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a full-time Philanthropy Officer. The Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 125 active donor accounts, meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality and timeliness of work. Providing organizational leadership in cultivating new relationships with corporations who inquire about engagement opportunities at DRM, partnering with fellow staff when appropriate. Carry out all donor/prospect gift cycle actions, including identification, qualification, engagement, cultivation, solicitation, closure and acknowledgement. Determining individual goals for each donor on caseload, based on giving history and the organization’s knowledge of the donor’s passions and potential. Developing a strategic plan for each donor, which serves as a foundational communication, marketing, and engagement blueprint. Actively participating in team meetings, providing status updates, offering ideas and sharing solutions. Collaborating with DRM’s programs, finance and communications staff to secure appropriate project information, including budgets, and creates relevant offers and proposals for donors. When necessary, speaking to various community audiences regarding Denver Rescue Mission’s purpose, programs and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in major gifts fundraising;
• Self-starter with exceptional organization skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient manner to meet deadlines;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Analytical and strategic, able to evaluate complex data and plan accordingly;
• Creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated professional with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and drive to achieve goals;
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Development team and colleagues throughout the organization;
• Demonstrated ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential material and situations;
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite particularly Word and Excel and in donor databases; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge a plus;
• A heart to serve those experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Denver Rescue Mission - The Crossing - Program Coordinator

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Program Coordinator to work full-time. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of The Crossing and the activities that take place therein. The majority of Program Coordinator I duties are relevant to all Program Coordinator shifts. Each Program Coordinator must understand the responsibilities of the other two Program Coordinator shifts in case of a need for coverage or shift change. In addition to these common duties, the Program Coordinator I is responsible for UA testing for the New Life Program and STAR The Program Coordinator must be willing to sign and abide by the Denver Rescue Mission Statement of Faith and pursue the guests and participations with a pastoral heart rather than in a commanding style.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least one year of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills both written and orally.
• Strong desire to provide ministerial assistance to those we serve.
• Ability to hold appropriate and Biblical boundaries and accountability with those we serve.
• Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
