Fort Collins Rescue Mission - Harvest Farm - Administrative Program Coordinator

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) & Harvest Farm is seeking an Administrative Program Coordinator. Administrative Program Coordinator paramount responsibility is to uphold the program rules helping to promote an environment conducive to participant growth. It is the duty of the PC to enforce the stated rules, not to create or interpret them. The PC provides oversight, accountability, guidance, and encouragement for participants during evening and weekend hours. Moreover the PC is responsible for Farm Facilities and operations, volunteers, programs, and activities during these same hours.

Denver Rescue Mission - Lawrence Street Shelter - Chef

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Chef. The Chef is responsible for all LSCC kitchen operations, activities and volunteer services. Each shift will be staffed with a Chef who will focus on food production, and a Chef who will focus on the volunteer experience through engagement and mobilization. During the course of a shift, all chefs will work as a team and lend assistance to one another as needed. All chefs will be required to fulfill the respective areas of focus based upon the needs of each shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous cooking and commercial kitchen experience required.
• Knowledge in food industry procedures and sanitation codes related to buffet type services.
• Ability to cook in large and small quantities.
• Possess an understanding of hospitality related to food services in front and back of house.
• A heart and desire to serve the needy in a Christian environment.
• ServSafe certified or ability to fulfill certification within 90 days of hire.
• Schedule will include weekends and holidays.

Fort Collins Rescue Mission - - Community Outreach Coordinator

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator (COC). The Community Outreach Coordinator position would ensure our programmers and guests are connected with the myriad of available services and resources in order for them to transition from the shelter into more stable environments. This position would be able to assess individual needs, work alongside FCRM and community service providers and make working referrals. This position works for the Fort Collins Rescue Mission (FCRM), resourced by Denver Rescue Mission in cooperation with Northern Colorado congregations. The COC reports directly to the FCRM Manager of Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and will solicit and/or advocate for services for our clients.
• Ability to remain optimistic and client-centered among needy and often selfish clients.
• Adaptability and creativity in problem solving.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables against deadlines.
• Experience at community relationships with recruiting volunteers and service partnerships that will benefit FCRM programming.

EMERGENCY SERVICES COORDINATOR (ESC):
The Fort Collins Rescue Mission (FCRM) Women’s Part-time Emergency Coordinator position (WESC) is a part-time (full-time if coupled with the Community Outreach Coordinator position), non-exempt employee with the Denver Rescue Mission who must hold to the doctrine and Constitution/By-Laws of the Denver Rescue Mission.

The WESC reports directly to the ESC-3 (Emergency Services Coordinator-level 3 (supervisor) and is responsible on their shifts for the day-to-day operation of the Fort Collins Rescue Mission and the activities that take place therein. The WESC must be willing to sign the Denver Rescue Mission Statement of Faith as well as stay a positive role model for fellow staff as well as shelter guests.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills both written and orally.
• Ability to resolve conflict professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure and a good attitude under pressure.
• Strong Christian ethic with ability to work with needy people of diverse cultural, educational, and religious backgrounds.
• Be able to follow directions of overseeing staff.
• Working knowledge of Windows software applications. Willingness to learn and use other Mission software and/or computer applications (e.g., Trello).
• Work schedule may include time frames of 8 hours or less anytime from 2:00p.m. to 10:30p.m. No unapproved OT is allowed.
• Dependability-if you are going to take off or cannot make it to work, it is your responsibility to pre-arrange this with the ESC-3 or to get another paid ESC take your shift. Otherwise, you are expected to be there (including holidays that fall on your shift).
1. Get ServSafe Certified through our Kitchen Supervisor (if needed).
2. Highly preferred: clean driving record so individual can successfully be put on the Mission’s insurance.
3. Highly desired: ability to work extra hours when other ESCs need to take off work or maintenance issues need to be addressed.

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Donor Relations Associate (DRA) to work full-time. The Donor Relations Associate is primarily responsible for the management of individual mid-level donors through cultivating and stewarding relationships, soliciting for renewed and increased annual gifts, and reporting progress. The DRA also serves as a member of the Relational Giving team within the Development department at DRM.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in communications, business or nonprofit management preferred.

• Superior business writing skills, particularly for fundraising or proposal writing.
• Knowledge of best practices in segmented marketing strategies as they apply to fundraising.

Fort Collins Rescue Mission - - Emergency Services Coordinator - Floater

Fort Collins Rescue Mission, a ministry of Denver Rescue Mission, is seeking a Male & Female Floater Emergency Services Coordinator to work as a fill-in, on call basis. This is a great opportunity to minister to some of Fort Collins’ neediest folks in a tangible way. The Emergency Services Coordinator ensures the safety and security of shelter, program participants and outside guests, manages Fort Collins Rescue Mission program participants, ensures the cleanliness of the shelter, performs inspections and adheres to a strict schedule for guests. We are looking for an individual who is able to approach this position with a loving and ministerial heart, and able to hold guests and program participants accountable to the rules, policies and procedures. The Emergency Services Coordinator must be able to handle conflict professionally and respectfully and maintain composure, and Christ-like manner at all times even under stressful conditions while working as the only staff member on duty. Must have a heart to serve the needy in a Christian environment.

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking two (2) Emergency Services Coordinator 3 (ESC). The ESC reports directly to the on-duty Supervisor of Emergency Services. The ESC is a member of the Denver Emergency Services staff team and is responsible for contributing to the relational engagement and care of Emergency Services guests at the Lawrence Street Community Center, Lawrence Street Shelter and/or Emergency Shelter. The ESC will have a clear presence of leadership, responsibility and care for these facilities (inside and out) and the activities that take place therein, brining issues of concern to the attention of the Supervisor of Emergency Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Two years post-secondary education in a related field and/or minimum of two years equivalent experience with population or within similar environment.

The Housekeeper is a full-time exempt position is responsible for to maintain the cleanliness of The Crossing and Administration and Education building, including all guest rooms and common areas. Further, this position is responsible for weekly room checks and maintaining units free from damage beyond normal wear and tear.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous successful housekeeping or janitorial experience.

Fort Collins Rescue Mission - Harvest Farm - Intake Specialist

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) & Harvest Farm is seeking an Intake Specialist. Intake Specialist responsibilities include, establishing relationships with treatment providers, including understanding the scope of services available to HF clients outside of HF, such as inpatient treatment, recovery networks, and detoxification facilities. Monitor and maintain productivity required for position. Provide crisis management to clients as needed. Assists others with work that needs to be done at moments of urgency or crisis. Works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including working with case management to increase access to care for SUD and COD services as well as improve care coordination. Be familiar with the New Life Program Resident Handbook. Attend scheduled staff meetings. Conducts biopsychosocial assessments and intake screening as deemed appropriate by the team. Facilitates client connections with other service agencies, providing transportation and support as appropriate. Communicates clinical assessments, interventions, and ongoing client contact through timely, thorough electronic record keeping, contact forms, and verbal communication. Maintains accurate electronic health record and participates in audits and projects to help improve and maintain accurate records that meet standard of care. Works cooperatively to serve clients in a comprehensive, effective, and caring way. Serves as a liaison with collaborating agencies and other teams within the organization, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with organizations and groups providing services to our target population. This job function requires availability by cell phone during regular business hours and off-hours as needed. Navigates the health care benefits systems (i.e. Medicaid and Medicare) on behalf of clients. Completes Medicaid authorizations and client database entries as well as any other reporting requirements necessary to provide services to individuals served in the program. Maintain a waiting list as necessary. Cultivate relationships with referral sources. Perform a law enforcement background check within first 24 hours. Administer initial UA and BA in first 8 hours to establish baseline.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certification for Addiction Counseling (CACII or CAC III) strongly preferred. If unlicensed will be actively working towards completion of licensure requirements.
• Two to five years of experience interacting with persons experiencing homelessness, mental health care, or substance use treatment settings.
• Incisive, compassionate insight to assess motivation, need, and underlying issues in applicants to the program as well as strong de-escalation skills are required.
• Strong Christian ethic with a heart for ministry to marginalized populations and men who are struggling with addictions.

Denver Rescue Mission - - Janitor

Janitor

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Janitor. The Janitor is required to maintain the cleanliness of the Lawrence Street Community Shelter (LSCC) and Lawrence Street Shelter (DRML) or at the Holly Center and 48th Street shelters. Working with our New Life Program and Next Step participants.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 to 3 years or more of janitorial experience preferably in an institution setting, though not a requirement.
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift, carry, pull or push up to 50 pounds while using proper universal lifting and carrying techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements including handling cleaners, solvents and chemicals.
• Ability to promote infection control and dealing effectively with pest infestations.
• Possess typing skills and experience working with computers
• Ability to work well with diverse individuals
• Ability to work independently and proficiently with limited supervision
• Ability to engage with individuals who are homeless and work well with a diverse population
• Ability to work respectfully and professionally with program residents
• Experience with applying verbal de-escalation skills – additional training will be provided
• Possess characteristics of leadership
• Current schedule will be Sunday - Wednesday 10:30am to 9:00pm
• Must have a clean motor vehicle record
• Strong Christian values with ability to sign Christian Statement of Faith.

Denver Rescue Mission - Lawrence Street Shelter - Next Step Case Coordinator

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Next Step Case Coordinator. The Next Step Case Coordinator is responsible to give direction and advocacy for Next Step Participants. The Case Coordinator’s goal will be to help participants connect with community providers and employment services in order to address barriers to housing and to move into transitional programs, rehabilitation programs or long term housing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess a BA/BS degree, preferably in human services, social work or related field, or a comparable combination of experience and education.
• At least one-year experience in working in urban setting with low-income populations
• Strong Christian ethic with a heart for ministry
• Expected to work 40 hours/week based on the needs of guests and volunteers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and responsiveness to communication
• Ability to hold appropriate and Biblical boundaries and accountability with those we serve.
• Ability to resolve conflict Biblically, professionally and respectfully while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Strong Christian ethic with ability to work with people of diverse cultural, educational, and religious backgrounds.
• Ability to read, remember and follow precise policies and procedures.
• Ability to drive DRM Fleet Vehicles
• Basic working knowledge of Windows software applications and ability to learn SCRIBE system.
• Willingness to possibly work either Sat/Sun and be on-call for shift coverage

Denver Rescue Mission - - Public Relations and Media Specialist

Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) is seeking a Public Relations and Media Specialist . The Public Relations and Media Specialist (PRS) is primarily responsible for maintaining a favorable public image of Denver Rescue Mission. The PRS will work directly with the MCD in keeping the Denver Rescue Mission in the public eye, including the news media, acting as a spokesperson, educating various constituencies about the services of the Mission, and providing a supportive environment for the Development team and fundraising events.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Must have 3-4 years’ experience in Public Relations or related field
• Must have 2 years’ experience as a spokesperson
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written with experience in news writing and press releases
• Ability to handle multiple projects in fast paced environment while working under time constraints and pressure
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to be discreet and respect confidential information
• Excellent computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of software helpful. Examples: Publisher, In-Design, Photo Shop, Video Editing Software.
