Families and individuals we serve through our community outreach programs are from vulnerable, low-income and at-risk households.
Sometimes they even find themselves forced to choose between buying the food they need and paying their rent. To prevent people from facing these kinds of decisions alone, our Client Services outreach provides:
- A food pantry
- Hygiene Items
- Referrals to other Mission programs
- Bibles and gospel-oriented materials
Community Outreach Events
Community outreach events are hosted by the Mission every year to promote the work we do and help people in need during a difficult time in their lives. Our annual Thanksgiving Banquet-in-a-Box and Christmas Adopt-A-Family program help provide meals and encouragement during the holiday season.
We also host an annual Fall Festival providing family fun every October while informing people about the important work happening in the lives of men in our New Life Program at Harvest Farm. Mission interns receive experiential training, and our Global Ministry Outreach helps other urban missions around the world.
The Goal of Community Outreach
People at risk of becoming homeless or transitioning out of poverty find assistance with basic needs like food, clothing, furniture, and other household items, while interns and other missions around the world learn how to alleviate poverty through a Christ-centered response.
Annual Community Outreach Events
Harvest Farm Fall Festival
The Harvest Farm Fall Festival is an annual event held at Harvest Farm in Wellington, Colorado. The event features a corn maze, petting zoo, hayrides, and more! It’s a fun event for the whole family!
The Thanksgiving Banquet-in-a-Box event helps families in need have a festive holiday meal at their own home by providing a box of holiday food items and a frozen turkey.
Adopt-A-Family is a special event hosted by the Mission every Christmas where generous sponsor families purchase, wrap and deliver presents to families in need in the community.
