Collect Needed Items
Organize a drive for canned goods/non-perishables; hygiene items; diapers; coats; towels; new underwear and socks for men, women and children; and clothing for men. Additional items include school supplies and incentives for kids at The Crossing who participate in the Denver Broncos Youth Center. Medical and Dental Professionals
Put your medical or dental skills to work in the community and volunteer in the Lawrence Street Shelter’s clinic. This 1,150 square-foot center inside our shelter provides free services to program participants and homeless people who might otherwise not receive care. Join a Mentor Team
Join the Family and Senior Homeless Initiative and heed the call to the faith community for 1,000 congregations to embrace 1,000 homeless families by 2015. This program pairs a mentor team of 2-6 people to guide a homeless family or senior toward self-sufficiency.
